The Toyota Land Cruiser Prado is the light duty line of the Land Cruiser range, a full size four wheel drive vehicle produced by Toyota, described by the company as a light duty variation of the Land Cruiser. Prado means meadow or field in Spanish. It began as a light duty version of the 70 Series in November 1984, took the Prado name in April 1990, and went through five generations to the J250 of 2023. In North America the J250 was introduced and marketed simply as the Land Cruiser, while it continues as the Prado in markets such as Australia. Generations with their own pages on this site: the first generation, J70 Prado (1990 to 1995); the second generation, J90 (1996 to 2001); the third generation, J120 (2002 to 2008); the fourth generation, J150 (2009 to 2022); the fifth generation, J250 (2023 to 2026).
