Subaru Sumo (second generation)

Automobiles

In 1993 the second generation of the Sumo appeared with all new sheet metal following the related Sambar. Fuel injection let Subaru add a catalytic converter to the 1.2 liter engine, which was the only choice, and power rose to 54 PS. Full time four wheel drive with a viscous coupling was added in 1994 and was available only with the ECVT transmission, and European versions gained an oil cooler for light towing. Its model years run from 1993 to 1998.
