Subaru 360

Automobiles

The 360 was a rear engined, two door city car that Subaru made from 1958 to 1971, the company's first mass produced automobile, with 392,000 built over a twelve year model run. It was designed to comply with Japan's kei car regulations. Nicknamed the ladybug in Japan, it weighed 450 kilograms, had monocoque construction, swing axle rear suspension, a fiberglass roof panel and rear hinged doors, and was superseded by the R-2. This site gives every generation and every model year its own page, in one generation: the single generation (1958 to 1971).
