The Valiant was completely redesigned for 1967, and the station wagons, hardtops and convertibles were dropped, so that buyers who wanted a hardtop coupe or convertible could choose the similar Barracuda. Grilles and trim changed every year, the Valiant Scamp, a version of the Dodge Dart Swinger hardtop, was added in 1971, and 1972 brought the best sales in Valiant history. A new grille and impact bumpers came for 1973, when the Valiant took more than forty percent of Plymouth's sales. Its model years run from 1967 to 1973.
