Mercury Colony Park (fourth generation)

Automobiles

For 1965 Ford redesigned its entire full size sedan and wagon line, and the Colony Park was again its own model line beside the mid level Commuter without simulated mahogany trim. The rear leaf springs gave way to a coil spring live axle layout whose basic design lasted to the final Crown Victoria of 2011, and the slab sided styling was heavily influenced by the Lincoln Continental. Its model years run from 1965 to 1968.
