Mazda MPV

The MPV, short for Multi-Purpose Passenger Vehicle, is Mazda's minivan, introduced in 1988 as a rear wheel drive model with optional selectable four wheel drive and replaced in 1999 by a front wheel drive version. Over one million have been built. The third generation sold in Japan and parts of Asia from 2006 was known as the Mazda8 in Hong Kong, Macau, Indonesia, Singapore and Malaysia. This site gives every generation and every model year its own page, in 3 generations: the first generation (1988 to 1998); the second generation (1999 to 2005); the third generation (2006 to 2012).
