The third generation MPV of 2011 was in its sixth year on sale, a minivan with a naturally aspirated 2.3 liter four cylinder engine, sold with front wheel drive in export markets, and as the Mazda8 in Hong Kong, Macau, Indonesia, Singapore and Malaysia. The 4WD models were available only in the Japanese domestic market. It was not sold to North America, Europe and other left hand drive markets besides China. The MPV is a minivan manufactured by Mazda, and over one million MPV models have been produced since its introduction.
