A standard driver's airbag was later introduced in early 1993 on the MPV. The MPV of 1993 was in its sixth model year, with the new Mazda emblem and remote keyless entry system introduced for the 1993 model year, sold in competition with the Toyota Previa and the Nissan Quest. Mazda sold it as a rear wheel drive model with optional selectable four wheel drive. The MPV is a minivan manufactured by Mazda, and over one million MPV models have been produced since its introduction.
