The third generation MPV of 2009 was in its fourth year on sale, a minivan with the 2.3 liter DISI engine, or the turbo version, sold in Japan, China, Hong Kong, Macau, Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia and New Zealand. The Mazda CX-9 and Mazda5 filled the segment in North America and Europe. It was not sold to North America, Europe and other left hand drive markets besides China. The MPV is a minivan manufactured by Mazda, and over one million MPV models have been produced since its introduction.
