The Lantis was a pair of sports compact cars that Mazda sold in Japan from 1993 to 1998, a five door hatchback that Mazda called a four door coupe and a sedan. Elsewhere it was the 323F, the Astina, the Artis or the Allegro Hatchback. It used the CB platform related to the Eunos 500 and the Capella, with front wheel drive and four cylinder or V6 engines, and was sold at Mazda, Efini and Eunos dealerships. Its name is made from the Latin phrase for to secretly shorten, and only a fifth of those made stayed in Japan. This site gives every generation and every model year its own page, in one generation: the single generation (1993 to 1998).
