The V6 engine of the Lantis ceased production in 1996, with a compression ratio of 10.5 to 1 and 162 PS from 1994 to 1996. The Lantis of 1996 was in its fourth year, with only 45,000 of the 230,000 Lantis cars made staying in Japan, while the 323F was immensely popular in Europe and some Latin American countries, where it was sold as the Artis in Chile and the Allegro Hatchback in Colombia. The 5-door was sold as the Mazda 323F in Europe.
