The Lantis of 1995 was in its third year, a front wheel drive sports compact car with a transversely mounted engine and a five speed manual or four speed automatic transmission, in a 1.5, 1.6 or 1.8 liter inline four or the 2.0 liter V6. The rare Type R with a 170 PS 2.0 liter V6, limited slip differential and Mazdaspeed A Spec kit was sold only in Japan and raced in touring car racing. The Mazda 323F weighs in at just 1,210 kg.
