Hudson Commodore

Automobiles

The Hudson Commodore was the biggest and best equipped Hudson from its launch in 1941 until 1952, offered with a six or an eight cylinder engine and Hudson's fluid cushioned clutch. The first generation was cut short by wartime production limits in early 1942, the second was little more than the prewar car revived in 1946, and the third, from 1948, introduced the low slung step down construction that made Hudson famous. This site gives every generation and every model year its own page, in 3 generations: the first generation (1941 to 1942); the second generation (1946 to 1947); the third generation (1948 to 1952).
