Hudson Commodore (first generation)

Automobiles

The original Commodore was Hudson's flagship of the early forties, a long wheelbase range of sedans, coupes and convertibles with a six cylinder or an eight cylinder engine, a mineral oil filled fluid clutch and an independent coil sprung front suspension. Safety was a selling point, with a separate mechanical brake system behind the hydraulic brakes. Production of civilian vehicles stopped in February 1942 to free materials for the war. Its model years run from 1941 to 1942.
