The fourth generation Transit was launched in January 2013 at the Detroit show and entered worldwide production that year, with Kansas City Assembly beginning production in April 2014 for the 2015 model year. It was the first generation sold in the United States and Canada, directly replacing the E-Series van, and brought the Transit Courier and Transit Custom ranges. The electric E-Transit followed in 2022. Its model years run from 2014 to 2026.
