For 2018 production the Transit Custom received an exterior update with a new grille in line with the larger Transit, and the interior received a new dashboard styled in line with the Fiesta. The fourth generation Transit continued in North America with the 3.7 liter V6, the EcoBoost V6 and the 3.2 liter diesel, all paired to a six speed automatic transmission, and built at Kansas City Assembly. The Transit Custom was the mid size Transit introduced for the range.
