From 2019 the Tourneo Custom, the version based on the fourth generation Transit, had a plug in hybrid engine option. The North American Transit used a six speed automatic from 2015 to 2019, replaced by a ten speed automatic for 2020. The Transit of 2019 was the fifth year of the generation in the United States and Canada, built at Kansas City Assembly in Missouri, with a 3.7 liter V6 as the standard engine.
