Ford Probe (first generation)

Automobiles

The first generation Probe was based on the Mazda GD platform, as a counterpart of the Mazda MX-6, and powered by a 2.2 liter SOHC four cylinder Mazda engine in naturally aspirated and turbocharged GT forms. It debuted in 1988 for the 1989 model year and was built until 1992 at Flat Rock, Michigan, in GL, LX and GT trims. From 1990 the LX could also have the 3.0 liter Vulcan V6 used in the Taurus. Each model year has its own page.
