The North American Ford Falcon was Ford's compact car for the 1960 to 1970 model years, the first compact marketed by an American Big Three maker. It was developed as a scaled down Ford Galaxie, with the project championed by Robert McNamara, and its platform was later used for eleven Ford vehicle lines including the Mustang. Ford Australia continued the nameplate separately as the Falcon until 2016. This site gives every generation and every model year its own page, in 3 generations: the first generation, 1960 to 1963 (1960 to 1963 model years); the second generation, 1964 to 1965 (1964 and 1965 model years); the third generation, 1966 to 1970 (1966 to 1970 model years).
