Ford Falcon (North America) (third generation, 1966 to 1970)

Automobiles

The third generation Falcon, launched in late 1965, was based on a shortened Fairlane platform with revised styling, topped by the highly trimmed Futura Sports Coupe. The two door hardtop and convertible were dropped, and the station wagon and Ranchero moved to the Fairlane's larger platform. Sales kept declining, and the model could not meet coming safety standards, so the Falcon ended in North America in 1970, replaced by the Maverick. Each model year has its own page.
