The Dodge Omni was a subcompact five door hatchback that Chrysler sold from the 1978 to the 1990 model year with its twin, the Plymouth Horizon. It was the first front wheel drive Chrysler and one of the first American cars with a transverse four cylinder engine, was the 1978 Motor Trend Car of the Year, and helped Chrysler survive its financial crisis. This site gives every generation and every model year its own page, in one generation: the L platform (1978 to 1990).
