The Gold Wing is Honda's line of touring motorcycles, built with a shaft final drive and a flat opposed engine. It was introduced at the Cologne Motorcycle Show in October 1974, grew from a 999 cc flat-four to a 1,832 cc flat-six by 2001, and has sold more than 640,000 units, most of them in the United States. Gold Wings were assembled in Marysville, Ohio, from 1980 until 2010, and production then moved to Kumamoto, Japan. Wikipedia describes six generations, from the GL1000 to the completely redesigned model of 2018. This site lists a page for every model year in the span covered here, each focused on what changed in that year, grouped into 6 generations: the first generation, GL1000 (1974 to 1979 model years); the second generation, GL1100 (1980 to 1983 model years); the third generation, GL1200 (1984 to 1987 model years); the fourth generation, GL1500 (1988 to 2000 model years); the fifth generation, GL1800 (2001 to 2017 model years); the sixth generation, 2018 GL1800 (2018 model year onward). Each year page links to its generation, to this model page, to the previous model year and to Honda.
