Valve covers plated with chrome appeared on the 2000 Gold Wings, and Canadian and American models also carried gold plated 25th Anniversary emblems for 25 years since the GL1000 first appeared as a 1975 model. The 2000 model was the final GL1500 Aspencade, and a complete redesign of the Marysville Motorcycle Plant to build the next Gold Wing began in January 2000. This page belongs to the Honda Gold Wing (fourth generation, GL1500), 1988 to 2000 model years; the generation page and the Honda Gold Wing model page link to the other model years, so the changes of neighbouring years can be read in order.
