1997 Honda Gold Wing

Motorcycles and Powered Two- and Three-Wheelers

Engine, transmission and final drive improvements first brought in on the GL1500C Valkyrie went into the 1997 GL1500, and the GL1500SE of 1997 had powertrain updates. The Interstate model was discontinued and replaced in 1997 by the Valkyrie Tourer. Honda brought back a version of the standard or classic Gold Wing in 1997, named the Valkyrie in the US and F6C in the rest of the world, with a higher performance engine from the GL1500 in a cruiser style frame.
