The Gold Wing turned 20 in 1995, and American Honda published a special hard cover book, Gold Wing: The First 20 Years. Every 1995 model received commemorative emblems and cosmetic changes, a thinner, narrower seat, and suspension improvements that cut ground clearance, adding to an even lower seat height. The GL1500A was at its heaviest in 1995 and its claimed dry weight stayed at 802 pounds until the end of the model. The cost of the 1995 Interstate jumped.
