Eagle was a Chrysler brand created after the company bought American Motors in 1987, sold mainly through the former AMC dealers alongside Jeep. Chrysler took the name from the four wheel drive AMC Eagle and aimed the cars at enthusiast drivers. It sold the Premier and Medallion that AMC and Renault had developed, Mitsubishi built Summits, Talons and Visions, and it was retired after the 1998 model year, soon after the Daimler merger.
