For 1994 every Summit had a driver's side airbag, which replaced one of the motorized seat belts. The lower end DL sedan was renamed LX and inherited the 1.8 liter engine, which also became an option on the ES coupe, and the ES sedan moved up to larger fourteen inch wheels. Chrysler introduced the Neon in January 1994 through Dodge and Plymouth dealers, and said no Eagle version was planned, leaving Eagle dealers with no rival to it.
