The larger Summit Wagon joined the line for 1992, a completely different vehicle with a high roofline and a sliding rear side door that was a rebadged Mitsubishi RVR and therefore not related to the Mirage based Summits. It was sold in DL and LX trim and in an all wheel drive version, marketed as combining the maneuverability of a small car with the roominess of a minivan, with seating for five. The Summit hatchback and sedan continued, built in Japan and Illinois.
