CRRC Corporation Limited, known as CRRC or China Railway Rolling Stock Corporation, is a Chinese state-owned and publicly traded rolling stock manufacturer. It is the world's largest rolling stock manufacturer by revenue, ahead of its major competitors Alstom and Siemens. It was formed on 1 June 2015 through the merger of CNR and CSR, which had once been a single company, the China National Railway Locomotive and Rolling Stock Industry Corporation, split in 2002. In 2016 it had 183,061 employees, and the combined business held over 90 percent of the Chinese market. Its parent is CRRC Group, a state-owned enterprise supervised by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council. After the merger it expanded overseas, with metro car plants in Springfield, Massachusetts and Batu Gajah, Malaysia, and it bought Vossloh's locomotive business in 2019.
