The CR300BF is a Fuxing electric multiple unit developed for the China Railway High-speed network and ordered by China Railway from CRRC Changchun Railway Vehicles. It is the 250 km/h class of the Fuxing family, following the 350 km/h CR400 series and the 160 km/h CR200J series. Design reviews began in early 2018 and the CR300BF-0002 prototype rolled off the line in September 2018. In May 2020 China Railway ordered 60 units from CRRC, 45 from Changchun Railway Vehicles and 15 from Tangshan, and the type entered service on 24 December 2020 on the Shanghai to Nanjing intercity line. A trainset has eight cars in a 4 motor, 4 trailer layout, with pantographs on cars 3 and 6, first-class and second-class seating, Wi-Fi in every car and temperature sensors that control the air conditioning.
