The ZEMU02, also known as the CRRC DDEMU2 and as Westbahn Class 4100 Panda, is a high-speed bi-level electric multiple unit built by CRRC Zhuzhou Locomotive for the Austrian railway company Westbahn. It is designed to the European Union TSI standards, is configured as a six-car set and carries a dual AC drive system and several signalling systems so it can run in Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Slovakia and Hungary. It is the second member of a series of multiple units CRRC ZELC makes for the European market and the successor of the DDEMU1 double-decker concept. The first set was unveiled in Westbahn colours at the Zhuzhou factory on 31 May 2021 and began test running in the Czech Republic in June 2022. It received its type certificate from the European Union Agency for Railways on 6 November 2025 and began passenger service between Vienna West and Salzburg on 12 November 2025. A set seats 536 passengers and has a light aluminium body shell with carbon fibre and glass fibre elements.
