The Tribute was Mazda's compact crossover SUV, made from 2000 to 2011 and developed jointly with Ford, on the platform of the Mazda 626 that also underpinned the Ford Escape and later the Mercury Mariner. It was Mazda's first original SUV, priced below the Escape, with a firmer suspension, and was built in Missouri for North America, at Hofu in Japan and in Taiwan. The CX-5 replaced it in 2012. This site gives every generation and every model year its own page, in 2 generations: the first generation (2000 to 2006); the second generation (2007 to 2011).
