Subaru Rex (second generation)

Automobiles

The second generation arrived in August 1981 as a front wheel drive hatchback with all new bodywork and independent suspension at every corner. Subaru said that only two connecting rods and an ashtray carried over from the rear engined car. It gave the kei class its first on demand four wheel drive option after October 1983 and a turbocharged four wheel drive model in December 1983, and its shell was widened and lengthened to create the first Justy. Its model years run from 1981 to 1986.
