Acura EL

Automobiles

The EL was a subcompact luxury sedan that Acura sold only in Canada from the 1997 to the 2005 model year, a Honda Civic with a higher level of features. It was built at Honda's Alliston plant in Ontario, the first Acura made in Canada, and replaced the Canadian four-door Integra, which had sold poorly. For years it outsold every other Acura in that country, and the CSX took its place for 2006. The first generation was also exported to Japan as the Honda Domani. Generations with their own pages on this site: the first generation (1997 to 2000 model years); the second generation (2001 to 2005 model years).
