The 2002 Acura EL continued as the second-generation sedan, with the 1.7 litre VTEC engine making 127 horsepower, in touring and premium trims, riding on multi-spoke 15 inch alloys and equipped with heated power mirrors, cruise control and discs at the rear. Leather seating, heated front seats and a power sunroof were the extras that the premium grade added, and every EL had antilock brakes. The sources used for this page record no change specific to the 2002 model year.
