The first generation Galant Lambda was a two door hardtop sold from November 1976 as the successor of the Galant GTO and the Galant hardtop, with a straight line style, square four headlights and a single spoke steering wheel that were firsts for a Japanese car. It had front struts and a four link rear axle shared with the four door Galant Sigma. It was sold in Japan at the Galant stores, with a sister car at Car Plaza. Its model years run from 1976 to 1979.
