The MX-6 was Mazda's front engine, front wheel drive sport compact coupe, sold from 1987 to 1997 in two generations. It replaced the 626 Coupe and shared its chassis with the Capella and 626 and with the Ford Probe and Ford Telstar. In North America it was built at the Flat Rock plant in Michigan, later run by the AutoAlliance International joint venture of Mazda and Ford, and elsewhere in Japan. This site gives every generation and every model year its own page, in 2 generations: the first generation (1987 to 1990); the second generation (1991 to 1997).
