The Cavalier was a large family car that Vauxhall sold mainly in Britain from 1975 to 1995, based on a succession of Opel designs, as the British version of the Ascona B, then the front drive Ascona C on the J platform, and finally the Opel Vectra A, built mostly at Luton but also at Opel plants on the Continent. This site gives every generation and every model year its own page, in 3 generations: the Mark I, 1976 to 1981 (1976 to 1981); the Mark II, 1982 to 1988 (1982 to 1988); the Mark III, 1989 to 1995 (1989 to 1995).
