Toyota Hilux (second generation, N20)

Automobiles

In May 1972 the 1973 model year Hilux was introduced, designated the RN20. A long bed of 2.25 meters was an option for the first time in North American markets, although it had been available worldwide since April 1969. The Hilux was facelifted in 1975 to be larger with increased standard equipment, and from 1975 to 1979 a company called Off Road Marketing sold a four wheel drive conversion for these trucks as the Wolverine 4x4. In North America the Hilux name was phased out in favor of Pickup starting in the 1976 model year.
