The T140, which would become the longest running Corona series, entered production as a rear wheel drive sedan, coupe and wagon in January 1982. The T150, known as the Corona FF, was introduced in January 1983 as a five door liftback with only the 1.8 liter 1S-LU engine, and a more traditional four door sedan was added in October 1983. In 1983 it became the first Japanese made car with digital color liquid crystal gauges, and the Corona Coupe came in 1985.
