Toyota 4Runner (second generation, N120 and N130)

Automobiles

Toyota released the second generation of the Hilux Surf and 4Runner in 1989 for the 1990 model year. Almost all were four door models, although two door cars were also built from launch until May 1993, with US sales of the two door ending in August 1992. A minor cosmetic update in 1991 for 1992 gave it one piece bumpers and modular headlamps, and side impact beams were added in 1994 and 1995 to a generation criticized as unsafe by the standards of later crash testing.
