The first Ambassadors were upgraded club sedans at the top of the Advanced Six line, with better upholstery and trim than the cars beneath them. Over the years that followed the name moved to the twin ignition eight cylinder series and then simply to the Eight 90, while larger seven passenger models briefly outranked it. Owners and later historians praised the lavish fittings and sturdy construction, which earned the Ambassador its Kenosha Duesenberg reputation. Its model years run from 1927 to 1931.
