The Ambassador name first appeared for the 1927 model year, unveiled in January at the National Automobile Show in New York as a specially trimmed four door, five passenger club sedan in the Advanced Six range, and as the most costly car in the Nash line it received better upholstery and trim. Nash's domestic sales for 1927 reached 109,979 cars. Exports took nearly eleven percent of production, and several royal families bought Nash cars, among them Prince Wilhelm of Sweden, who collected his Ambassador at Kenosha.
