Ford redesigned the MKZ for the 2013 model year, presenting a concept at the 2012 Detroit show and the production version at the 2012 New York show, on the CD4 platform shared with the Fusion and Mondeo. Delayed with Fusion production to January 2013, it reached dealers in quantity by mid March 2013. It was facelifted for 2017 and was sold in China from 2015. 2020 was its final year. Its model years run from 2013 to 2020.
