The 2018 MKZ continued the facelifted second generation, a luxury sedan co developed with the Ford Fusion, offered in Premiere, Select, Reserve and Black Label trims with hybrid, turbo and V6 powertrains, and built at Hermosillo, Mexico. Both the Hybrid and the turbocharged and V6 versions were still offered. It was a mid size, four door, five passenger luxury sedan sold in North America and, from 2015, China. The second generation MKZ shared the CD4 platform with the Ford Fusion and Mondeo.
