Ford Thunderbird (sixth generation)

Automobiles

The sixth generation was the largest Thunderbird ever built, a sibling of the Continental Mark IV weighing over 5,000 pounds, the heaviest coupe Ford ever made apart from the Mark IV. The line was pared down to a single two door hardtop. Its styling heavily influenced the 1974 to 1976 Mercury Cougar XR7 and the Ford Elite, and it was powered by the 400 Cleveland, 429 or 460 V8. Each model year has its own page.
