The third Viper, the ZB I, was a major redesign by DaimlerChrysler's Street and Racing Technology group, taking cues from the Viper GTS-R concept of 2000, with sharp, angled bodywork. The SRT-10 replaced both the RT/10 and the GTS and was a convertible first, with a coupe following as a 2006 model after its introduction at the 2005 Detroit auto show. It was sold in Europe as the Dodge SRT-10. No Viper was produced for the 2007 model year, as production of the 2006 model was extended. Its model years run from 2003 to 2006.
