Chevrolet Impala (ninth generation, 2006 to 2013)

The ninth generation Impala was introduced at the 2005 Los Angeles Auto Show for 2006 and used the updated General Motors W platform, like the first LaCrosse. The SS used the Generation IV 5.3 liter small block V8, the first V8 in a front wheel drive Chevrolet. From the 2014 model year this generation continued in fleet use as the Impala Limited until production ended in May 2016. Its model years run from 2006 to 2013, with the Impala Limited from 2014 to 2016.
