The facelifted third generation Vios was unveiled at the April 2016 Auto China, and a separate, less major refresh was introduced for the Chinese market in 2016 alongside a hatchback model marketed as the Vios FS. From 2016 in Thailand the 1NZ-FE engine was replaced by the flex fuel 2NR-FBE. It was model year 4 of 7 in the Toyota Vios (third generation, XP150), 2013 to 2021, coming after the 2015 model year and before the 2017 model year.
