The 2005 MDX continued with the 265 horsepower V6, side curtain airbags and the dual tail pipes of the 2004 revision. Its navigation system began to include listings from Zagat for restaurants and other points of interest. The car kept its VTM-4 automatic all-wheel-drive system, a three-row interior, and its position as a car-like alternative to truck-based SUVs at a time when it ranked second among mid-size luxury SUVs.
